Questions
Frequently asked questions.
The questions I get asked most before a first conversation. If yours isn't here, just email me.
Will you have access to all my systems?
No. Only to what the process we're automating actually needs, and always through your own accounts. You can withdraw that access whenever you like.
Is my data safe?
Your data stays in your own systems and no copy ends up with me. We set that down formally in a data processing agreement.
Do I own what you build?
Yes. It all runs on your accounts and under your keys. You can walk away whenever you like, and your data never leaves your own systems.
We already have an IT provider. Will that cause friction?
No. Your IT provider looks after your systems and your network. I take the repetitive admin off you and your team. Where the two overlap, I work alongside them.
You work on your own. Isn't that a risk?
Before I start, we put in writing exactly what the system has to do. It then runs alongside your current way of working for a week or two, without anything reaching your customers. You only pay the second half once it meets what we agreed. And because it all runs on your accounts, you can keep it running without me at any point.
Does a human still check what goes to my customers?
Yes. Anything headed for a customer or a supplier waits as a draft. Someone on your team reads it and presses send.
What if something goes wrong along the way?
You can switch the system off yourself at any time, everything it does is logged, and the route back to your old process is written down.
How long does a project take?
The free scan is a thirty- to forty-five-minute conversation. The first build is up and running within two to four weeks, including the trial run before it goes live.
Do you handle maintenance afterwards?
If you'd like me to keep an eye on things and handle minor maintenance, we agree a fixed monthly fee with a cap on the hours. It's optional, and you're free to run it yourself.
What does it cost?
The free scan costs nothing. What the first build costs depends on the process, and we agree that after the scan. You only pay the second half once the system passes the test we agreed on.
I'd just like to talk it through first. Is that possible?
Of course. That's exactly what the free scan is for: thirty to forty-five minutes on one process, with no obligation.
